Video: House Republicans oppose bill that would link Washington’s carbon market with California, Quebec

The Democrats’ regressive carbon tax has driven up the costs of gas and energy in our state. Now they want to link Washington’s carbon market to California through Senate Bill 6058. House Republican members on the House Environment and Energy Committee, including ranking member, Rep. Mary Dye, spoke out in opposition during a committee vote on Feb. 20, saying linking to California’s energy policies is a bad choice for Washington that will make our affordability crisis worse, not better. The bill passed the committee, 9-6, with all Republicans voting no.
