Rep. Mary Dye tells KVI’s Ari Hoffman cap-and-trade linkage to the California/Quebec market could further hike Washington’s gasoline prices

Rep. Mary Dye, R-Pomeroy, says the governor’s new cap-and-trade program is responsible for boosting Washington’s gas prices to nearly the highest in the nation. Dye, the ranking Republican on the House Environment and Energy Committee, tells KVI’s Ari Hoffman a recent decision by the state Department of Ecology to link Washington’s carbon market to California and Quebec could boost those prices even further, and give California more say in the Washington program.
