On KONA Radio's “The Bottom Line with Robb Francis and Greg Neft,” Rep. Mary Dye and Rep. Mark Klicker tell how Gov. Jay Inslee's sectional vetoes on House Bill 1815 will open the flood gates to rural solar and wind development in Eastern Washington, siting projects without local input or regard.

The rural Washington lawmakers negotiated amendments into the energy siting bill in good faith to ensure local communities and landowners could have input into the bigger picture of siting wind and solar projects and the viewscape over the next 30 years. However, they believe the governor's veto of those amendments is a betrayal to all of Eastern Washington citizens.
