Capitol Report with Rep. Mary Dye

Rep. Mary Dye, R-Pomeroy, tells Capitol Report that the legislature should not be held hostage by the courts.  She is referring to recent fines levied against the state concerning education and the McCleary decision, which mandates quality education for all children in the state of Washington.  Dye said it is wise of lawmakers to defer a decision on creating a plan concerning education until further study can take place.  A bill that allows lawmakers more time to examine the issue has passed both the House and Senate.
