Ninth District representatives invite residents to participate in March 23 telephone town hall

Ninth District Rep. Mary Dye and Rep. Joe Schmick will hold a town hall meeting by telephone on the evening of Thursday, March 23. The conversation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately one hour.

Many residents will receive invitations by phone just before the meeting begins; those wishing to call in simply need to dial (509) 724-2970. Once connected, they can listen in and press (*) star on their telephone keypad to ask questions.

“This is a great opportunity for us to discuss the issues that matter most to the citizens of the 9th District,” said Dye, R-Pomeroy. “With Olympia being so far away, this telephone town hall gives us the chance to hear straight from you about the legislation that impacts your daily lives and speak directly to us. I’m looking forward to the discussions that will take place between us all.”

“These events have been very successful in the past and serve as a convenient way to reach a large number of 9th District residents,” said Schmick, R-Colfax. “Our district is quite large. This gives folks the opportunity to speak directly with their representatives while we are in Olympia. I’m looking forward to a robust conversation.”

Questions prior to the telephone town hall meeting can be directed to Rep. Dye at (360) 786-7942 or mary.dye@leg.wa.gov, and Rep. Schmick at (360) 786-7844 or joe.schmick@leg.wa.gov.
